Understanding Numerology and Tarot
Introduction
Mathematics might not have been your favourite subject in school, but what you were not told is the fact that mathematics is the language of our universe. All creation can be explained in mathematical terms. It is a wholly contained, pure and consistent numerical system. From the way planets move, to how things float on water or fall on the ground with gravity, maths can explain absolutely everything in our universe. Maths is if you will, spiritual mysticism in disguise and it translates our spiritual world into manifest, physical formulas. Numbers are the letters of this sacred language. There are ten of them, from 0 through to 9 and even the larger numbers are made of these basic ten. Each one of these numbers is a magical, mystical building block, defining divine logic in an understandable way. Together, their relationships embody our collective, cumulative universe, and separately each number embodies our individual universe.
True spirituality is confronting the truth within ourselves
Did you know that the twentieth-century psychoanalyst Carl Jung was fascinated by numbers? He journeyed far beyond the world of psychology that he had learned from his teacher Sigmund Freud, and found there were universal images, concepts, and symbols that resonated with all religions and schools of thought. He considered the numbers one through nine (which BTW, form the basis of numerology) to be the first primitive symbols of order that act as the basis of thought for humankind. Understanding numerology and tarot helps with true spiritual advancement. By this we do not mean using spirituality to drop out of this real, earthed world of ours and live in an away-with-the-fairies fantasy bubble. We in fact mean the exact opposite. True spirituality is confronting the truth within ourselves. Below you will find comprehensive tables of information as well as a series of useful links to detailed articles, all of which will help you develop a deeper and more profound understanding of how numerology numbers work and what their associated tarot synchronicities are.
Why should You make it your Business to learn Numerology and Tarot?
365 Pin Code specialises in Applied Numerology Research and leveraging numerical intelligence for enhanced personal and professional strategic thinking and planning. From time to time clients will ask us if we actively use tarot cards in our analytics. The answer is no because we are very much focused on understanding numerical trends and qualitative and quantitative research, which is best done through numerology. That said, we do understand and have much respect for tarot cards, how the deck was put together, their metaphysical significance and their application within the world of seeking answers for personal growth and spiritual evolution. In our numerology research articles, we will, from time to time, refer to tarot cards to help illustrate a numerology number sequence and to add an additional and interesting, interpretive dimension to the narrative.
Numerology Numbers and their Meanings
The single-digit numbers, 1 – 9, form the baseline foundation of the discipline of Numerology. Each of these numbers has, if you will, its own personality, strengths, weaknesses / challenges and very unique quirks. To get a good understanding of how the numbers affect or influence you, you need to understand the basics of each number, meaning wise. The very first thing you need to know and remember, is that in numerology, everything works in cycles of 9. If you want to understand more about these cycles of 9 here’s a fascinating piece of research work we did on when (as in which year) the world will feel the economic vice-like grip of Covid-19 releasing. The Number 1 lies at the very start of the numerology number line and is therefore linked with beginnings, leadership, bravery and original creation. The Number 9 lies at the opposite end of the numerology number line and therefore it is associated with endings, closure and consciously connecting the dots (i.e. assimilating and internalising the learnings) from the past 8 years. In between number 1 and number 9 exist the numbers 2 through 8, and their headline characteristics or meanings, are listed in the table below. We also make use of two master numbers, master number 11, the intuitive enlightening visionary and master number 22, the master builder.
“Numerology is part art, part science. The science lies with meticulously organising the numerology numbers and codes into a logical sequence which systematically unpacks the Intelligent Mathematical Blueprint (IMB), or Authentic Self, of the given individual. The art lies with interpreting these magnificent numbers and codes in a way which practically divulges to the person why their past happened as it did, their present is unfolding as it is and what their future could look like if they aligned themselves with their IMB. Numerology, more specifically, Applied Numerology, opens up a whole new world of strategic thinking and planning wise.” Chris and Suzanne Styles, Founders 365 Pin Code Numerology

Numerology numbers explained in detail:
Here are valuable links which will explain the numerology numbers 1 through 9 and master numbers 11 and 22 in much greater detail.
Numerology Number 1; Numerology Number 2; Numerology Number 3; Numerology Number 4; Numerology Number 5; Numerology Number 6; Numerology Number 7; Numerology Number 8; Numerology Number 9; Numerology Master Number 11; Numerology Master Number 22
There are two Master Numbers 11 [The Master Intuitive; Heaven] and 22 [The Master Builder; Earth]
For people with the Master Numbers (11 and 22) presenting themselves in significant positions within their charts (e.g. Birth DD 11th or 22nd; No 11 life path; No 22 life path etc.), please understand this… Master Numbers offer you one of two “themed experiences”, either the higher octave experience (i.e. the 11 and / or the 22) or the lower octave experience (i.e. the 2 and / or the 4; 11=1+1=2; 22=2+2=4). Where the master number 11 is in play, so are ALL the characteristics of the number 1, doubled up (11 = 2×1’s), with the number 2 (i.e. the feminine energy) in support, there to be called upon in need. That’s what makes 11 so powerful, as in the blend of masculine and feminine and being able to switch between the two with consummate ease. If the lower octave 2 experience is mostly in play, you will experience “internal frustration” and have the constant nagging feeling that what you are doing is “always supporting everyone else” and making them the lead / headline act of the show, whilst you rarely get the desired rewards nor the limelight.
“The master number 11 in the number of illumination, enlightenment, intuition and teaching. It is of the heavens if you will. When a number 11 universal year, such as 2009, 2018, 2027, 2036 and so on presents itself, its 11 energy will reveal much in our lives that needs to be healed. Whilst these years bring extreme emotional upheaval, the blessing within this chaos, is the opportunity afforded to us to make the changes required to restore order.” Chris and Suzanne Styles, Founders 365 Pin Code
Master Number 22 delivers legacy-type Practical Structures
In the case of the master number 22, which is The Master Builder, if the higher octave is dominant, then you will be in charge of large projects and teams of people who are helping you to get the job done. If the lower octave number 4 experience is dominant, then you will feel unfulfilled, constrained, restricted, boxed-in etc. and that you are working extremely hard for little gain. The number 4 tends to work alone (it is an energy which prefers “to go solo”), whereas the number 22 works in teams, large groups of efficient people aligned toward a common objective. So, where the number 22 is operating solo, whether by choice or through circumstance, there is always a real risk that it will experience the lower octave 4 and possibly not perform optimally nor feel satisfied.
Master Number 11 offers up Opportunity to Heal and Breakthrough Potential
The master number 11 also carries within it the gift of illumination, teaching and enlightenment. What do we mean by this? Think of it this way, you cannot illuminate something which is already visible, which if you will, is already in the light. You can only illuminate that which is in the dark or lurking within the murky shadows. Much of that which causes us the greatest damage (as in unprocessed significant emotional events and those parts of ourselves which we choose to disconnect from) lies within the shadow, conveniently ignored and hidden away from plain sight. The number 11, possesses the ability to shed light into these dark and dingy crevasses of our lives, bringing into frame, that which needs to be dealt with, revealed, healed etc. That’s why people with the master number 11 make such wonderful and talented healers, and, why master number 11 universal years [as in 2009, 2009 = 2+0+0+9 = 11; 2018, 2018 = 2+0+1+8 = 11; 2027, 2027 = 2+0+2+7 = 11] will always gift us the opportunity to address and heal our damaging, inner darkness and in the process, learn something profound. The number 11:11 is one of the most common series of numbers people see. You might also find multiples of 11, like 444, 55, or 3:33. The number eleven is associated with a shift out of old patterns or an upcoming breakthrough. It’s a number we tend to see when we are already in the process of change. The subconscious mind of the universe are telling you to be aware, get out of tunnel vision, and see what is going on in your life.
Understanding Tarot Cards [The Arcanas]
The tarot consists of 78 cards, with the deck divided into two separate categories: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. Understanding the difference between the Arcanas and their number correspondence can greatly enhance your ability to comprehend a card that you may not be totally familiar with. The Major Arcana are the archetypal, big-picture cards, depicting important moments on one’s life path. These cards are often pivotal and carry a deeper psychic meaning. The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards, numbered from 1 [The Magician] to 22 [The Fool; this card often carries the number 0]. The symbolic characters of the Majors tell the story of our passage from childhood and innocence through maturation and enlightenment. In the Minor Arcana, we deal with the realm of the physical. Divided into four suits, these cards represent will (the Wands), intellect (the Swords), emotion (the Cups) and material matters (the Pentacles). The Minor Arcana are similar to a deck of regular playing cards (there is an Ace, a King, a Queen and a Knight) but include the Page as an additional court card. Each suit is numbered 1-10 and has a corresponding element.
Wands, Pentacles, Swords and Cups explained in more detail
The Suit of Wands represents your energy, motivation and passion. Given that The Wands link with the will, these cards will often appear in Tarot readings which are linking with and to your life purpose, spirituality and new ideas you’re grappling with. The Suit of Pentacles represents things of this earth such as your finances, work matters and material possessions. The Pentacles cards will often appear in Tarot readings which are linking with and to your career, finances, wealth planning and material world. The Suit of Swords represents your thoughts, words and actions. Given that The Swords cards are connected with the intellect, they will often appear in Tarot readings which are linking with how you communicate your ideas, make decisions, and how you assert (or don’t!) your power. Finally, The Suit of Cups represents your feelings, emotions, intuition and creativity. The Cups cards will most often appear in Tarot readings which are seeking clarity around relationships, and your emotional connection both with yourself and others. Minor Arcana cards are practical cards that will show you what’s happening in your daily life and how it is affecting you; they are if you will, revealing or illumination the key situation(s) you’re dealing with currently. The Major Arcana cards which are theme based, will show you the key life lesson you’re busy learning (hopefully!).
This is the correct way to read dual numerology and tarot numbers
Below are tables which reveal the numerology number and tarot card link as well as a guide as to how to correctly read, or interpret, the given numerology number. For example, whilst the numbers 13 [13 = 1+3 = 4] and 31 [31 = 3+1 = 4] both reduce to the numerology essence number, or base number 4, how you should read them differs considerably. 13 should be read as the number 3 (creativity, communication, self-expression, imagination etc.) expressing itself through the number 1 (original creation, leadership, the ego, innovation, bravery etc.) to deliver the essence or base number 4 (practicality, work, focus, discipline, structure, law and order, systems etc.). The number 31 is the number 1 expressing itself through the number 3 to deliver essence or base number 4. Understand the difference? Few numerologists understand this and so they ignorantly go about thinking that 13 and 31 are the same, in that they both reduce to base number 4. This is the most incorrect approach and leads to inaccurate readings and number interpretations. Wherever the number zero, 0, appears it only serves to amplify the characteristics of the given number. For example, the number 10, is nothing more than everything that the numerology number 1 stands for, massively amplified, through the accompanying zero. There you go, now you understand how to interpret numerology numbers and as per the tables below, what each tarot card reduces to, numerology base number wise.
